You can drill down to the detail of any bank format in RecXpress to view and change format settings, such as the date format used by your bank statement file.

Why would you need to do this?
If RecXpress is not importing your bank statement correctly, the date format in the format definition may not match the date format in your bank's file. For example, your bank may export dates as DD-MMM-YY but the format may be set differently.
How to access the format drill-down:
- Navigate to C/B RecXpress Setup | RecXpress Bank Formats.
- Highlight the bank format you want to drill down into by selecting that row.
- Click the drill-down icon in the Format Name column header.
- The actual bank format detail will open, showing all field definitions including the date format field.
- Update the date format to match your bank statement file, e.g. DD-MMM-YY.
- Save your changes.
Note: After changing the date format, test by importing a bank statement to confirm transactions are being read correctly.
