Overview

Both MCD and Subscription orders follow the same two-step flow on the Peresoft website. The steps below cover both order types, with differences called out where they apply.

Part 1: MCD Order

An MCD order is placed when a client is purchasing a new product (once-off).

Step 1: Navigate to the MCD Order Page

Log in to www.peresoft.com with your Dealer ID and password. Navigate to Orders > Enter MCD Orders. The page heading will read Enter MCD Orders (Step 1 of 2).

Step 2: Select Your Client

Click Show List to open your client list and click the client to populate their details. If the client is new, leave the Client ID blank and fill in manually.

Step 3: Fill In the Order Details

• Date Purchased, Client ID, Company Name, Contact Name
• Address, City, Postal Code, Country
• Version For Client: Select the Sage 300 version the client is using (defaults to current year).
• Telephone, Client Email, Email for MCD — activation codes will be sent to the Email for MCD address.
• Comments: Any relevant notes.

Step 4: Add Products

Type the product code directly or click Open Product List to browse. Set the quantity and click Add Product to List. Repeat for each product. Double-click a row to remove it.

Step 5: Review and Submit

Review the order summary and click Submit Product Codes. A confirmation screen (Step 2 of

2) will display your reference number. A confirmation email is sent automatically and Peresoft will send activation codes to the Email for MCD address.

Part 2: Subscription Order

A Subscription order is placed when a client is signing up for a recurring subscription product. The process is the same as an MCD order with the following differences:

Step 1: Navigate to the Subscription Order Page

Navigate to Orders > Enter Subscription Request. The page heading will read Enter Subscription Request (Step 1 of 2).

Key Differences from an MCD Order

• Instead of Version For Client, select the Number of Years (1, 2, or 3 years).
• The quantity field is labelled No. Users — enter the number of users requiring licences.

All other steps — selecting the client, filling in details, adding products, and submitting — are identical to the MCD order process above.

Summary: Key Differences

• MCD uses Version For Client; Subscription uses Number of Years.
• MCD quantities = number of copies; Subscription quantities = number of users.
