Cashbook Editions: Differences, Multicurrency, and Sage 300 Compatibility

Covers the differences between Cashbook editions, which editions include Multicurrency, and the Sage 300 edition compatibility rule.

Edition Overview

User restrictions in Cashbook mirror the equivalent Sage 300 Edition. The key functional difference between editions is Multicurrency:

  • Premium Edition: Multicurrency is included as standard.
  • Advanced, Standard, and other editions: Multicurrency is not included — the separate Peresoft Multicurrency module is required if Multicurrency is activated in the Sage 300 company.

If Multicurrency is enabled in Sage 300 but the module is not licensed, users will encounter errors when posting batches or reconciling.

Sage 300 Edition Compatibility Rule

The Cashbook Edition must be equivalent to or higher than the Sage 300 Edition in use at the site. You cannot run a lower Cashbook edition against a higher Sage edition.

For example: You cannot run Cashbook Standard or Advanced Edition with Sage 300 Premium Edition.

How to Fix an Edition Mismatch
