Changing the Customer Name to Dealer Name on a SA/Subscription Invoice
How to update a SA/Subscription invoice to display the dealer name instead of the end customer name.
Covers what Software Assurance is, the 30-day grace period, which functions stop working, data access after expiry, and how to renew.
Software Assurance (SA) is the annual renewal that keeps your Peresoft licences current. SA is compulsory — once it lapses, the product displays the following message:
Your Software Assurance has expired. You will not be able to continue using the program until you renew your Software Assurance.
Keeping SA current ensures all operational functions remain available and entitles you to hot fixes and product updates.
For products purchased after the 2012 (6.1A) release, licences expire 30 days after the SA expiry date. Payment must be received before the expiry date — SA cannot be extended once it has lapsed.
All other functionality remains available — you are not locked out of your data for enquiry purposes or reports.
No. Hot fixes and product updates are not available while SA is not current.
Contact softwareassurance@peresoft.co.za to renew. Once payment is processed, go to C/B Setup > License Activation and run Obtain Licences from Peresoft.com to update the expiry date.
