License Activation - A Later Version Message
When running License Activation after renewing support, the system displays "A later version" and the expiry date does not update. This does not mean you need to upgrade Cashbook.
What does "A later version" mean?
This message means the License Activation control file (accpacCB8920.ocx) on your system is outdated and needs to be replaced before the activation can complete. This is a one-time update to the activation tool itself, not to your Cashbook version.
Resolution:
- Download the updated License Activation program from:
https://www.peresoft.co.za/licenseactivation/cb??a/accpacCB8920.ocx
(Replace ?? with your Cashbook version number, e.g. 71 for CB2024.) - Copy this file into your cb??a directory, replacing the existing file.
- Re-run License Activation from C/B Setup | License Activation.
- Select Obtain Licenses from Peresoft.com to retrieve your updated expiry date.
Note: Ensure peresoft.com and peresoft.co.za are added as trusted websites in your Internet settings before running the activation.
